To inspire Michigan youth to see possibilities and to make the connection to fulfilling futures and meaningful lives through real-world examples of Everyday Heroes.

At a time when a society has lost sight of its true heroes and material things have replaced character as the currency for measuring success, RARE celebrates the lives of everyday people in the workplace who through extraordinary commitment, integrity, selflessness and courage are changing lives and inspiring others, every day.

RARE provides a forum for these extraordinary individuals to reach out to Michigan youth and teach, by example, their compelling lessons for life’s venture.

Our programs engage youth through the process of discussion, discovery and writing about the everyday heroes who make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.

Although retired from the practice of law, Mr. Cox still serves on RARE’s Board as well as on several other corporate boards.
